JAPANESE
ART
Paper Tiger Japanese Art was founded by art dealer Nova Tregaskis, who splits her time between Sydney, Australia and Vancouver, Canada. Raised in a family deeply immersed in art, Nova grew up surrounded by beautiful Asian pieces. Her parents, Victoria and Ray Tregaskis, founded Oriental Antiques in Sydney in 1982 and are recognised as leading authorities on Asian art in Australia.
Continuing this legacy, Paper Tiger specialises in Japanese art, with a particular passion for Japanese woodblock prints from the ukiyo-e and shin-hanga movements. Working with artists such as Hokusai, Hiroshige, Kawase Hasui and Hiroshi Yoshida, the gallery offers carefully sourced works and expert guidance, and actively buys, sells and brokers Japanese and Asian art for collectors worldwide.
